The Kick-Off

In my first post of the year, I told you guys about the big triumph followed by a big heartbreak we wrestled with at BLINDxx. at the end of last year. After my board exams and a bit of recovery period months after, Ninz and I decided it's time we got back on track and use the theft incident as an inspiration for us to work better and harder.

So here, as unemotional as I wish to be about the whole thing, I'm baring my heart and soul to thank everyone who still came and dropped by our page last week. It was our kick-off for the year. More than just order forms, it meant all the joy in the world to us knowing that people were still around. Really! For those who didn't get to come, we were holding a clearance sale to clear out all our stocks and make room for new pieces (both BLINDxx picks and BLINDxx creations)--- a bigger, better (and more active) BLINDxx this 2013. I'm excited to show you guys everything we've been putting together to fill your closets with only classy, trendy, good quality apparel. You have no idea how far we go just to try and get you the best stuff. :)

If you haven't viewed our sale album, you can check it out here. There are a couple of items still available. Stay tuned and hope to see you all on our facebook page.  Also, follow us on instagram and twitter @blindxxclothing .

Until next time!<3

Linen and Lace

This photo is for those who tease that I always seem to put on a fiercey-pouty kind of look in my look book photos.
Suck on that! Sweet ang peg! :))

BLINDxx cropped top ** Accessorize Necklace**WE Empire Bracelets** Pierre Cardin Trousers**clutch from Chard

So for the first time since grade school, I wore a REAL cropped top and paired it with something lowrise. I ended up covering my belly with books while walking around but still having fun feeling funny while I was at it. :)) It also didn't help that I had two HUGE unplanned dinners that night-- monggolian with the boy and thai with the family. To make things even worse, I've been having allergies on the legs since my last post. As you can see, I opted for these linen trousers to cover up. I forgot the fact that it was linen... extra itchy against my already itchy skin. Too many wrong deciscions! I hate having to hurry while I'm dressing up in the morning.

Since my neutral palette was so earth-toned, Le me decided to accessorize with a classic gold necklace instead of my usual boho trinkets to veer away from looking all too costume-y and shabby.  It's just relaxed and  organic in the right amounts. Even if the colors are almost a bore (no contrasts, no color pops) the details took center stage and kept it subtly interesting.. like this lace layer on my bandeau and the gold embellishments on the pants, highlighted by the neck piece. What do you think? :)

On another note, I've made updates on my blog, please please check it out and tell me your thoughts. I Compiled my photo journals and my styling works with links to the atcual posts so it's easier to follow through.  I've been waiting for ample time to overhaul this blog but I don't think that's going to happen so I'll just take it one upgrade at a time. I can't wait till the work is complete so it can be ready for give-aways and sponsors. So exciting! :)

Have a good week, bichasss! :)

Hi Society, Im Ever-Young.

All flowers spring as she passes and open if she glances upon them; and all birds sing at her coming. She dwells in gardens filled with golden flowers and often comes to the forests.

Pardon me for the really corny title. Here are a couple of outfits I modelled for our rtw line's previous release: Ever Young. It's a collection inspired by tranquility, solace, purity, youth, innocence and nature. We kind of had the spirit of Pocahontas moving through this shoot, a youngger and Asian one atleast. Heeh.

Home-made shoots like this give me and my sister a chance to experiment with concepts without pressure. It allow us to have fun playing dress-up like we did back when we were kids.

All items have been sold out but new ones have been out just last night. Don't forget to visit our page and check them out! :)

Photos above are photographed by Ninz Sy
 Modelled, Post-Prcoessed by yours truly
Styled by us both.

Shock-after-shock

The aftershock fashion show's dress code was dominant black and beige. It was perfect timing for me bring out my treasure-- this ribbed LBD. When it arrived, I first thought of having it cropped shorter to make it look like a typical bodycon dress (as it was in the catalogue but I guess I was extra short :P). Later I decided to keep it as it is. I liked how it fell just right above my knees-- kind of gives more sophistication than sexy. Did I make the right call? :)

Beret from Amazon (special thanks to shoppingpal Hana Uy :P )
Fringe Necklace from Forever21

I am proud to say I have fats now, thank you very much. I hope they're not too disturbing.
I worked hard to gain them! :))

True to the theme "aftershock".. this dress gives you-- just that. It's so prim and proper up front (with matching sequined beret and school girl satchel) for a real madamoiselle look, but it has a surprise spunk at the back! Whappak! :))

Dress from Stylestaple <3

and lastly to break the monotony and plain-ness (also especially causes it's summer), I splashed on some color. <3

Plus my fave trusted heels from Asianvogue, forever and ever present, shoot me. :>

My sister on the other hand came in beige with pastel accessories and nails.
She had her own aftershock touch too, her vintage looking dress (unreleased BLINDxx creations) is actually a deep V at the back all the way to the waist. She just wouldn't let me take outfit shots of her!

Loving my first colored satchel from Primal Rave

Thanks to Tiny Ensembles for these yummy accessories. They have a lot of summer-savvy bracelets and rings at reasonable prices!:)

Thanks to Rhett, Ninz' Schemberler (yes theres no such word) for lending his room for us to change in and stuff all our things. You're a savior and your rooms smells minty and divine.

Met up with 'someone' later that night after a looooong day of work- kids gathering-youth gathering-fashion show.
Good meal at Ila Puti to top off the day :> Sorry for the bad quality photo. hahaha. It was all we had then.

Hey, if you ever see me out partying in the same dress, don't judge. HAHA. I can wear it forever and I will. Just because it's blogged doesn't mean it can't be overused!! #disclaimer :)) Aaaand that's about it! For those who haven't read about this fashion show, be sure to read about it here

Hype this look if you're pretty. Haha. :P

BLINDxx Creations opens on Summer 2012! :)

Exactly 10 months ago, my sister Ninz and I (out from the immense love for fashion and the cute but honest desire to make our own living) opened Blind Clothing. What has long been an amusing idea in my head turned out to be an online reality on that 27th of May 2011. It was a product of our giddy late night talks over sheets and pillows. :)

10 months, and BLINDxx has been working its own way up slowly but surely providing personally hand-picked and styled classy, wearable, trendy but timeless and affordable items that cater to any fashion forward girl's sometimes-impulsive-appetite. (Raise your hands, guilty people!)

This March, BLINDxx takes it a step further as it branch out to its own creations line. From BLINDxx picks, we introduce BLINDxx creations. BLINDxx creations carry limited edition, ready-to-wear pieces that are premium designed and sewn in-house, blind style.
Summer is every fashionista's christmas... a celebration from the most talked about in-season pastels, to the color block and print that a lot of us still can't get over. That's why it is our season of choice.

Join us as we launch BLINDxx creations with an editorial entitled : SECRETS AT SEA
featuring the clothes from our creations line with 4 pioneering simple but flattering designs-- in different colors, with not more than 2 pieces per item. It is also with great pride and fabulous honor that we announce that this is in collaboration with our favorite young trail blazers in the local scene: Matt Aesthetic and James Canete.

As much as I was itching to post more, I can only leave you with this dear readers. :))
Straight from Matt's Screen. Love, yes?

You are invited! In sisterly lovin, Join us in the ff:

SPOTLIGHT: Ms CAFA Casual Wear

Celine Borromeo.
BLINDxx IT-GIRL AWARDEE.
For her attitude, charisma, and confidence.
She got a 1,000Php GC and 10% discount on any item for the whole of 2012 from BLINDxx!

Let me start by saying, that the second week of December has been the busiest week for me and Ninz in so far as styling is concerned. It all started when we were invited to sponsor Ms CAFA, the first ever pageant CAFA (College of Architecture and Fine Arts) has ever done. Aside from giving out prizes, we dressed up their candidates during the casual wear segment. I am not a fan of pageants, but who can say no to CAFA? It's too close to my heart. This was the first time we styled for a live audience, much like a mini fashion show for the store, I fancy.

The biggest challenge was to style 9 girls we haven't met yet (I only knew 1/9 of them). Their features were varied, their body types extremes, and we had to judge (sort of) the look we will be giving them based on what we perceived their personalities to be/ what they're most capable of flaunting using only their photos. And if I may add, since it's live.. we couldn't repeat accessories (which we normally do during shoots)! We had to bring so much of our personal stuff. Gladly, we got a little help from one of my best friends, Abe. :D

Fitting Sessions, Absent models, very necessary last min outfit changes that caused outraged moms and make-up artists and shoe disasters, we got those; but at the end of the day, I'm so glad to say they rocked it.

"Girls, dont forget to inform your MUA and bring your shoes, but most importantly, bring your attitude with you. " I remember saying before parting with the candidates. and they did, really really did. :)

Sadly I wasn't around to see them walk down the stage since I had to pull out men clothes for another styling "job" that week; but Ninz texted me. I could tell she was overwhelmed and so was I, from a distance! I made it in time for the coronation and still got to congratulate the winners and other candidates backstage. Im just so proud of all of them.

Here are photos from that night taken by Rae Cabardilla of Decaph Photography. Thanks so much, Rae! :)
